Everything you need to know about starting the REACH programme.

REACH is for adults facing addiction, past hurts, harmful patterns, hang-ups or destructive habits. Family members and supporters are also welcome to attend.

No. Everyone is welcome, regardless of background or belief. REACH is, however, a Christ-centred programme and Christian principles form part of the recovery process.

We meet every Tuesday at Word and Life Church in Boksburg. Testing takes place from 18:00–18:30 and the programme runs from 18:45–20:30.

The once-off registration fee is R650. It includes the Pathway to Recovery book and the Recovery Plan workshop.

Weekly alcohol and drug testing is required for people registered for chemical dependency. A single test costs R80.

You will check in, meet the team, receive an introduction to REACH and learn what to expect from the programme. You do not need to have everything figured out before arriving.

REACH is a one-year process. After the introductory phase, participants move into a closed step-study group and work consistently through the 12 Steps.

REACH values privacy and honest, safe community. Group members are expected to respect confidentiality, although facilitators must act when there is a legal or immediate safety concern.

No. REACH is a structured support programme and does not replace medical care, detoxification, psychiatric treatment or professional therapy where these are needed.
